Medical Compression Garment Specialists

For compression garments for leg lymph oedema, varicose veins, pregnancy oedma and more, see us for a FREE consult.

There are several ways in which you can be referred to our clinic. For medical compression stockings you are usually referred to us by a health care professional, for example your General Practitioner (GP), Vascular Surgeon or Lymph Oedema Therapist. During your visit we will review the information provided in the referral, take the appropriate measurements and most importantly discuss what your personal preferences and needs are.  Based on the information gathered during this consult, whether it's for leg lymph oedema, varicose veins or pregancy oedma, we can fit you with the pressure garments that suit your individual situation.

We provide a wide range of Venosan compression (pressure) garments and accessories.  Venosan is well known for its top quality garments and outstanding customer service, completely in line with our company trademarks.  Please take a delivery period of at least two days into account.

Appointments

We prefer to book an appointment with you in the morning between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm. The reason for this is that during the day your extremities tend to swell up while you are active.  Especially for people with oedema complaints the fluid can build up rather quickly.  In order to take accurate measurements we therefore prefer to schedule our clients at the beginning of the day.

Prior to your appointment we would like to advise you of the following:

  • If possible, keep your legs elevated until at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled time.
  • If you have used pressure garments before, please bring these in so we can have a look at them.
  • A standard consult will take up to 30 minutes. For a ‘made to measure’ consult you will have to allow 60 minutes.
  • Our consults and measurements are free of charge.

Please note that we provide home visits for people who are restricted to come to our clinic.

If you experience leg lymph oedema, varicose veins or pregnancy oedma, or require compression (pressure) garments for any other reason, we hope to welcome you for a FREE consult at Hands On in Christchurch soon for your Compression Garments!
